After graduating from Southern Polytechnic State University in 1992, Christopher returned home to Augusta to take a position with Sydney Carter & Associates as a project architect. He took over the firm in 2000 after the death of Sydney Carter, changing the name to Christopher Booker & Associates while maintaining the same talented office staff and loyal client base. In 2014 Christopher purchased the historic Commerce Building on Broad Street and moved the firm to beautiful downtown Augusta. Today he primarily directs the business side of the firm while also serving as project architect.
In addition to building good relationships with his clients, Christopher is also dedicated to ensuring a strong future for Augusta through building genuine community. He believes that when good architecture and good people come together, the potential for vibrant, supportive community soars. He’s committed to doing his part, and not only through architecture. His long history of serving professional and civic organizations throughout the area bears witness to his conviction. Christopher is also a member of the historic First Presbyterian Church and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children along with playing golf in his spare time.
